Joel is a part of the management team of the Westover Companies, a property management company that owns and manages over 60 apartment communities in 4 states. After a chance meeting with Karen Lassaso while walking his dog Benny on a Jersey beach and discovering it was Animal Aid that rescued Benny from a Georgia kill facility (Karen had the pictures of Benny to prove it!) Joel was invited to go to Georgia as a part of a caravan and has been consistently going back to Georgia ever since. Married since 1987, Joel has two adult daughters and is proud to be a part of the Animal Aid USA family.
