Shelly has always had a love for animals and her desire to fight for their abilities to grow in safe loving atmospheres drove her to research animal rescues in her area. She began volunteering at a local shelter, where M.O.M.S Rescue / Animal Aid arrived monthly with southern rescues. She made her first trip in July of 2012 with the “Amazing Grace” Caravan, and knew right away this was an organization to which she wanted to commit. The ideas of speaking for those who are most neglected and working as part of a team to find safe loving homes for them, keeps her going back monthly. Shelly also fosters for several of the AAUSA receiving rescues. She is a wife and mom and enjoys her time with her family and their 6 dogs.
