An at-home mom for 15 years to 3 children, Tammy worked as an accompanist at her church for many years, and in 2011 started working full time to help her husband with a business they had established in 2004. In the summer of 2015, her then 19 year old daughter found a 5 month old male puppy on Petfinder. The foster family (with Puppies and More) also had two siblings, and while Tammy’s family initially adopted the little boy, they returned 3 weeks later to adopt his sister. After adopting these siblings, Tammy began to research the mission of Puppies and more, and in her curiosity of the background of the puppies, she was put in touch with Animal Aid USA.

Tammy joined her first Animal Aid USA caravan in December of 2016 and was hooked. She returns every month whenever possible, has since fostered for our receiving rescues, including her very first fostering experience (Providence Animal Center in Media, PA). She has also fostered for WAGS rescue in Horsham, PA and also enjoys spreading the word about rescue, adoption, fostering and donating. Tammy considers it an honor to be a part of this volunteer group, and marvels at the different backgrounds, religions, political views that are all forgotten and put aside with one common purpose comes to mind, namely to save animals and educate. Someday, she hopes to be able to volunteer full-time.
