A native of southeastern Georgia, Xavier has been a rescue volunteer and animal advocate since he was a toddler. At the age of 4, while participating in the very 1st MOMs rescue caravan, he was filmed as part of a rescue documentary, voicing his distress on seeing so many abandoned, abused and neglected pets in his hometown. He and his family routinely foster anywhere from 1 to 15 rescued pets every month. And although he loves all pets, he has a special connection to those that have special needs or physical disabilities. Xavier believes that educating others is the best way to make a change and he takes every opportunity to talk to his peers and educate them on the responsible, humane treatment of animals.
